Crunchy Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. dates
    5 slices candied pineapple
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 box raisins
    2 c. chopped nuts
    4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Chop the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.
    Beat the eggs.
    Add sugar and vanilla.
    Pour over the fruit mixture. Pack in lined, well-greased angel food pan.
    Place a pan of water under cake the last 15 minutes.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
