Beef With Sour Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean beef (round or sirloin)
    1/4 c. flour, seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 c. beef broth
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms and the liquid
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1/2 c. sour cream
    3 to 4 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Remove bone and fat from steak.
    Cut into thin strips.
    Dredge in flour.
    Brown in large skillet.
    In hot oil, add onion, broth, thyme and liquid from mushrooms.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until meat is tender.
    Add mushrooms and peas; cover.
    Cook 7 minutes.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Heat but do not boil.
    Serve over hot fluffy rice.
    Garnish with pimentos.
    Makes 6 servings.
