Walnut Oatmeal Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. walnut pieces
2 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. unsalted butter
1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Fit work bowl with metal blade.
Add walnuts and chop with 5 or 6 on/off pulses or until very finely chopped.
Add oats and blend together with nuts, about 3 seconds.
Remove from work bowl and reserve.
Add flour, salt and baking soda to work bowl, still fitted with metal blade.
Process just until mixed, about 3 seconds.
Remove and reserve.
Cut butter into 1-inch cubes and add to work bowl with white and brown sugars.
Process on/off with 8 to 10 pulses or until butter and sugar are mixed and then process continuously until mixture is creamed.
