Dexo Ration Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Dexo
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg yolks
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. milk
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. syrup
Preparation
    Cream Dexo, sugar and vanilla until light; add egg yolks. Beat until fluffy.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk; mix well.
    Beat egg whites until foamy; add corn syrup and beat until mixture holds peaks.
    Fold into batter.
    Pour into 2 greased and waxed paper lined 8-inch layer cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 30 minutes.
    Turn out on rack.
    Cool.
    Frost with any desired frosting.
