Sweet Pickles From Ripe Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 large ripe cucumbers
    2 c. water
    1 c. coarse salt
    7 c. ice water
    6 Tbsp. whole pickling spice in small bag
    2 qt. cider vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 small sliced onions
    1 tsp. dill
    bay leaf
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers in half and peel.
    Cut each half in quarters lengthwise.
    Remove seeds.
    Heat 2 cups water and coarse salt. Add ice water. Pour over cucumbers and chill for at least 12 hours.
