Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    layer green onions
    layer celery
    layer green peppers
    2 scant c. mayonnaise
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. grated Parmesan
    16 slices bacon
Preparation
    After washing vegetables, dry thoroughly.
    Slice lettuce fine. Layer lettuce, onions, peppers and celery.
    Spread mayonnaise on top.
    Sprinkle sugar, black pepper and cheese.
    Crumble bacon and spread over all.
    Leave covered 8 to 12 hours.
