Triple Treats Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate morsels
    2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. walnut pieces or coarsely chopped peanuts or pecans
Preparation
    Melt over hot (not boiling) water the milk chocolate morsels and shortening; stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
    Pour half of melted morsels into an 8-inch square greased and foil lined pan; spread evenly.
    Refrigerate until firm (about 15 minutes).
