Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    Combine sugar, buttermilk, soda and Karo syrup.
    Cook until soft ball (about 240\u00b0).
    Add pecans, margarine and vanilla. Remove from heat.
    Beat until creamy and drop on buttered cookie sheets.
