Mother'S Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    pinch of baking powder
    5 eggs
    1 c. Sultana raisins
    1/4 c. glazed cherries, cut in quarters
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs 1 at a time.
    Add flour and baking powder.
    Coat raisins and cherries in additional flour and mix in batter by hand.
    Line loaf pan with waxed paper; pour batter in pan.
    Place in a cold oven; set at 350\u00b0 and bake 1 1/2 hours.
