Three Week Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chopped white cabbage
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 white onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. salad oil
    1 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery salt
    2 carrots, chopped
Preparation
    Use a large bowl.
    Makes big batch.
    Combine cabbage, peppers, onion, carrots and sugar.
    Mix well.
    Mix together the oil, vinegar, celery seed and salt.
    Bring to a hard boil.
    Pour over cabbage mixture and stir very well.
    Store in refrigerator in airtight container.
    Let stand at least 3 days.
    Flavor improves as it stands.
    Will keep at least a month.
