Cherry Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. flour
1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Grease 10 x 15-inch pan.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add the remaining ingredients except pie filling and mix well.
Reserve one cup and set aside.
Spread remaining mixture in pan.
Carefully spread can of cherry pie filling over dough.
Use reserved dough to randomly drop over cherries.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
