Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 can apples or 6 apples, sliced
sugar
cinnamon
nutmeg
butter or oleo
Preparation

Sift flour with salt.
Cut in shortening until like coarse meal.
Add milk; stir just enough to blend.
Turn out on a floured board.
Divide in half.
Roll out each piece and cut in fourths. On each piece, add a few apples; sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a small piece of butter.
Fold all corners to middle and pinch edges together.
Place in large baking dish.
