Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1/2 large green pepper, chopped
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and green pepper in Crisco slowly.
    Add meat and saute until browned.
    Add remaining ingredients and bake in a covered dish at 375\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
