Chili With Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 c. dry pinto beans
    1 to 2 onions, chopped
    1 to 2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 qt. tomato juice
    1 tsp. cumin (fresh ground if possible)
    2 cloves garlic or garlic powder to taste
    2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Soak
    beans
    overnight;
    drain
    water.
    Pour
    in tomato juice and
    enough water to cover beans.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Brown meat and onions; drain off fat.
    Add meat, onions and the rest of the ingredients.
    Simmer until done.
    Add water, if needed and adjust spices to taste.
