Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. solid shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and add sugar.
    Mix good together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg.
    Then beat in the vanilla.
