Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 c. evaporated milk
12 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. grated lime/orange rind
2 Tbsp. lime/orange juice
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Fill a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with water to a depth of 1/2-inch; place in oven.
In a saucepan, combine sugar and water.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is caramelized.
Pour quickly into an 8-inch square pan.
Tilt to coat bottom and sides evenly.
Cool slightly. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well.
Pour over caramel layer. Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan of water in oven.
Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Chill. Loosen edges with knife and invert onto serving platter.
Cut into serving pieces.
