Frosted Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. chopped pitted dates
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together thoroughly butter and powdered sugar.
    Stir in water and vanilla.
    Add flour and dash of salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Roll in 1-inch balls.
    Place 2 1/2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until cookies are set, but not brown.
    While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
