Snow Peas With Cashews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh snow peas
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. unsalted cashews
    2 Tbsp. green onions, chopped
    1 glove garlic, minced
    1/4 c. fresh parsley, finely chopped
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Wash pea pods; trim ends and remove strings.
    Cook in a small amount of boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
    Cook frozen peas in a small amount of water for 3 minutes, then drain. Combine peas in a large bowl and set aside.
    Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
    Add cashews, green onions and garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
    Stir in parsley, salt and pepper.
    Pour over peas and toss gently.
