Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. butter or 1/2 lb. butter and 1/2 lb. margarine
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon or other favorite flavoring
Preparation

Beat butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour and baking powder and add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add flavorings. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 to1 1/4 hours.
