Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. unmelted shortening
    4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Then add dry ingredients, buttermilk and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    (Better if baked on aluminum foil.)
