Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. white corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    2 beaten egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook the first 3 ingredients until it forms a medium soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Pour 2/3 of the syrup slowly over the egg whites.
    Beat constantly.
    Cook remaining 1/3 of syrup mixture until it forms a very firm ball.
    Beat it slowly into first mixture, beating constantly, until creamy.
    Add the vanilla and nuts.
    Drop on wax paper.
