Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yams
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    maple syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Boil yams until done but firm.
    Peel and slice, then place into semi-deep pan.
    Slice butter or margarine over yams.
    Add sugar evenly on top of yams.
    Pour syrup even with top layer of yams. Cook/bake at 325\u00b0 uncovered until syrup is thick.
