Mock Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef cubes
    1 c. diced celery
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    salt, pepper and onions to taste
    3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Braise beef cubes until just tender.
    Add water, celery and remaining ingredients, except cornstarch.
    Cook 20 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch.
    Serve over steamed rice and top with chow mein noodles.
