Coffee Cake Gems - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Cream 1/2 cup sugar and shortening; add egg, vanilla and salt. Beat well.
Add 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder and milk; mix well.
Pour into well-greased muffin tins.
Mix remaining ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over muffins.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until well done.
