Karen'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. ground beef (chuck preferred)
    2 cloves garlic
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
    2 1/2 Tbsp. ginger
    2 jars or 20 oz. cans tomatoes
    1/2 to 1 large can kidney beans or 1 (16 oz.) bag
    2 1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. chili powder*
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (20 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    *For hot chili, add 1/3 cup ground cayenne pepper.
    For hotter chili, add 16 ounces jalapeno peppers, chopped.
