Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. strawberry jello
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 small pkg. frozen strawberries
    3 bananas, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 pt. sour cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add the strawberries and stir until berries are thawed.
    Add sliced bananas and pecans. Pour half of the mixture in an 8 x 8 x 2 pan and hold in refrigerator until firm.
    Jell the remaining half to a thick pouring consistency.
    Spread the sour cream over the set jello and carefully spoon the remaining mixture on top of this.
    Place the entire mixture in refrigerator until it is well set.
    Cut in squares and serve on lettuce.
