Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter or margarine
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Blend in one egg at a time, then beat well.
    Sift salt, flour and baking powder together.
    Add to batter alternating dry mix and milk.
    Grease and flour tube pan well.
    Place in cold oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Do not open door until cake is done.
