Apple Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    thinly sliced apples
Preparation
    Boil water and 1 1/2 cups sugar slowly and pour in cake pan. Sift flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Mix in the shortening.
    Then add enough milk to make a soft dough.
    Roll out quite thin.
    Cover with apple slices.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
    Roll up and cut 1 1/2-inch slices like cinnamon rolls. Place rolls in hot syrup and bake for 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven. Serve hot with whipped cream.
