Brownie Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 x 13-inch) pan uncut baked brownie
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Spread brownie layer with ice cream to within 1/2-inch of edges.
    Freeze.
    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar in mixer bowl until foamy.
    Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition until stiff and glossy.
    Spread over ice cream, sealing to edges.
    Bake at 500\u00b0 for 3 minutes or until browned.
    Serve immediately.
