Calico Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 each medium green, yellow and sweet red peppers and 1 onion, all diced
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1 1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    2 Tbsp. picante sauce
    1 Tbsp. cumin
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. water
    sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    Saute peppers and onion in oleo for 3 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except sour
    cream.
    Bring
    to
    a
    boil. Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer
    for
    20 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Garnish with sour cream, if desired.
