Chicken Chow Mein - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. chopped chicken
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. celery, chopped
1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
pepper to taste
1 tsp. salt
2 c. chicken broth
1 (16 oz.) can mixed Chinese vegetables
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 (4 oz.) can water chestnuts
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
hot cooked rice
Preparation

Lightly brown chicken in butter.
Add celery and onion, pepper, salt and chicken broth.
Cover and cook 5 minutes or until celery is tender.
Add vegetables, mushrooms and water chestnuts. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce.
Add to chicken mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
Serve over hot rice.
