Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sliced yellow squash
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp/mild cheese
    8 Ritz crackers
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 stick oleo or butter
    1 beaten egg
    chopped onion (optional)
Preparation
    Boil squash in salted water; drain and mash with potato masher.
    Add grated cheese (save some to sprinkle on top).
    Add milk and egg that have been beaten together and crushed crackers. Pour in shallow dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle on reserved cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
