Strawberry Pie I - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 large c. strawberries
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
baked pie shell
another c. whole strawberries on bottom of baked pie shell

Preparation

Mash 1 cup berries; add rest of ingredients and let come to a boil.
Take off stove and beat well.
Cool thoroughly.
Pour cooked mixture into baked pie shell over whole strawberries. Serve cold.
May garnish with Cool Whip if desired.
