Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. persimmon pulp
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
1/8 lb. butter
1/4 c. cream
2 c. sugar
Preparation

Mix together pulp and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Add soda to buttermilk; stir until foaming stops and add to mixture and stir.
Sift flour; add salt and baking powder.
Sift into persimmon and buttermilk mixture and beat well.
Add cream.
Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour into batter, leaving enough to grease pan well.
Beat mixture well.
Pour into baking pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
