Chocolate Nut Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. powdered sugar
    3 sq. chocolate, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Combine cookie crumbs and nuts.
    Spread 1/2 the mixture in a shallow pan.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add chocolate and flavoring.
    Beat egg yolks and add.
    Stiffly beat egg whites and fold in.
    Spread over crumb mixture; put other half of crumbs on top and chill overnight.
    Serves 12.
