Choco-Mint Snaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chocolate bits
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt chips
    in
    double boiler.
    Remove from heat.
    In a large bowl
    combine
    shortening,
    sugar
    and
    egg.
    Beat until creamy. Mix
    in
    corn syrup, peppermint and melted chocolate. Blend in flour.
    Shape
    in balls using 1 tablespoon of dough. Roll in sugar.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
