Salad Bongo Bongo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small c. mandarin oranges
    3 bananas
    3 mangoes
    1 small can pineapple chunks
    1/4 c. shredded coconut
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    6 large crisp lettuce leaves
    1 (8 oz.) block Philadelphia cream cheese
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
    3/4 c. sugar
    juice from 1/2 lemon
    1 pt. whipped cream
    2 pkg. gelatin
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Let cheese reach room temperature.
    Drain pineapple and mix with cheese.
    Heat lemon juice and sugar together until dissolved. Now dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water and mix with lemon juice and sugar.
    Bring this mixture to a boil.
    Let cool and add whipped cream.
    Fold this mixture into the cheese and pineapple and mix well.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Serves 4.
