Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 qt. cucumbers, peeled and sliced
2 qt. onions (large), peeled and sliced
2 qt. vinegar
2 1/2 lb. brown or/and white sugar
1 small can pimentos, cut up
2 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
2 1/2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1/2 lb. stick cinnamon
1/2 tsp. whole allspice
1 Tbsp. turmeric
pinch of cayenne
Preparation

Combine cucumbers and onions.
Sprinkle with salt overnight. Drain and let stand in cold water for 10 minutes.
Drain. Dissolve sugar in vinegar and boil for five minutes, add to onions and cucumbers.
Add remaining ingredients to boiling vinegar and let cook.
Bottle.
