Cream Sherry Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar, divided
    2 qt. milk
    1 bottle cream sherry
    grated nutmeg
    1 pt. vanilla ice milk
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
    Beat in 3/4 cup sugar slowly; continue beating until sugar is dissolved. Add milk and sherry; chill.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Beat in remaining sugar.
    Add sherry mixture and spoon vanilla ice milk on top.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Makes about 15 servings.
