Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. raw shrimp
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 dashes hot sauce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 bay leaf
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. tomato juice
    3 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Drop shrimp into boiling water.
    Boil 2 to 5 minutes.
    Rinse, drain, peel and devein.
    Saute onions, pepper and celery in oil; add flour and stir well.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
    Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
    Add shrimp and tomato juice.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add frozen peas and cook 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 6 to 8.
