German Chocolate Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

50 light caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Melt and stir caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in heavy pan.
Mix in large bowl the cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and pecans.
Stir until dough hangs together.
Press half of dough in well-greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust.
Pour caramel mix over chips.
Spoon rest of dough on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut into bars.
