Candied Sweet Potatoes And Apples - cooking recipe

2 cans sweet potatoes (1 lb. 2 oz. each), drained
2 c. sliced apples
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Slice potatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices.
Place on bottom of a shallow, 2-quart glass baking dish.
Layer sliced apples over potatoes; dot with butter.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and nutmeg. Cook, covered, in microwave oven on High for 4 minutes or until heated through.
