New England Boiled Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 brisket of beef (corned)
    12 to 16 small red potatoes
    1 large turnip, cut into chunks
    1 pkg. carrots, cut into chunks
    12 to 16 small white onions
    several beets (optional)
    1 large or 2 small heads cabbage, cut into wedges
Preparation
    Place corned beef in large stew pot and cover with water.
    Boil for 2 to 3 hours, until fork-tender.
    Remove from the pot; save water.
    Place potatoes, carrots, onions and turnip in pot and boil for 1/2 hour.
    Add cabbage and boil for another 15 minutes.
    Slice beef in diagonal slices against the grain.
    Arrange all on a platter and serve with Mustard Sauce and Irish soda bread.
