Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. strawberries
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Wash
    strawberries,
    making
    sure
    they
    don't stand in water. Cap
    and
    cut
    away bruised spots.
    Measure out 4 cups strawberries,
    pile measure high.
    Place strawberries in large saucepan
    with
    tight-fitting
    lid.
    Add 1 tablespoon vinegar. Put on
    top
    and
    boil 1 minute by the clock.
    Start timing it when the
    boil
    begins.
    At the end of the minute, uncover and add 4 cups
    sugar.
    Stir
    gently so the sugar and berries are blended. Cook
    20 minutes at boiling point.
    Pour into a bowl or shallow pan
    or
    meat
    dish.
    Let stand overnight or until cool. Pack
    in clean jars; paraffin and seal or process in hot water bath 5 minutes.
