Sherry Apple Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 (1-inch thick) pork chops
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 cooking apples, peeled and chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown chops in oil.
    Drain pan drippings.
    Place chopped apples and onion on top of chops.
    Combine sherry and next 4 ingredients.
    Pour over chops.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until chops are tender.
    Put chops on serving plate.
