Special Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 1/2 sticks melted butter
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    16 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (24 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, butter, evaporated milk and chopped nuts. Mix well.
    Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Press half the mixture into pan and bake 5 to 7 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt caramels over low heat, stirring in 1/3 cup milk.
    Pour melted caramels over partially baked layer.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of caramel layer.
    Crumble remaining cake mixture over top.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into squares.
