Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. chopped onion
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. regular uncooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/3 c. coarsely chopped almonds
Preparation

In a small skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter and saute onion until soft but not brown.
In a saucepan bring chicken broth to a boil; add sauteed onion, rice, salt and pepper.
Pour into casserole; cover and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and saute almonds 2 to 3 minutes.
Just before serving, toss rice and sprinkle nuts over top.
