Mushroom Business - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    8 slices bread
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms, onion, celery, green pepper and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
    When sauteed lightly, add the mayonnaise.
    Butter six slices of bread on both sides and cut in 1-inch squares.
    Put half of bread in casserole; add sauteed vegetables.
    Add rest of buttered bread.
    Beat eggs and milk.
    Pour over all and refrigerate a few hours or overnight.
