Microwave Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef or ground pork
    1 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
    1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    6 c. hot, cooked spaghetti
Preparation
    In a 3-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine meat, mushrooms, onion, green pepper and garlic.
    Cook on 100 percent power (High) for 6 to 8 minutes or until no pink remains, stirring twice.
    Drain.
    Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, basil, thyme, salt, pepper and bay leaf.
    Cook, covered, on High, for 10 to 12 minutes or until boiling.
    Cook, uncovered, on 50 percent power (Medium) about 20 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring once.
    Discard bay leaf.
    Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
    Makes 6 servings.
