3/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 egg, beaten
3 medium Bermuda onions, peeled
shortening for frying
Preparation

Sift flour and salt in a bowl.
Add milk, oil and egg.
Beat until smooth.
Cut onion into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings.
Dip each ring into batter.
Drain excess batter.
Drop rings into heated shortening (375\u00b0).
Fry 2 to 3 minutes, turning occasionally.
